Transgender Issues: A Two Session Program

(Attendance at Both is not Required)

1/25 from 12:30-2:30 PM:  "Understanding and supporting transgender youth: 101" 

There is a lot of confusing messaging about transgender youth in the media. This will be an opportunity to learn about the complexities and myths around supporting transgender youth. This presentation is geared towards individuals who haven't explored this issue in depth and want a place to learn and ask questions. 
Presenter: Karrie Walters-Warren, licensed psychologist. Karrie is a Teaching Professor and a CDAC clinical director at the University of Oregon.
 

2/11 6:30-8:00 PM: "The systemic erasure of the transgender community-awareness and advocacy.

Pay attention- It's not random! Learn about the state and federal coordinated efforts to eliminate the rights and existence of transgender individuals as part of our community. Learn how we can take steps to protect  your transgender friends, family and neighbors- both as individuals and as part of TBI.
