Bread and Torah

Participate in challah making, or Torah making, or both!

Learn to make challah to take home and for the TBI Shabbat onegs.

This class has a suggested donation fee of $10.00. This helps offset the costs of ingredients so that we can provide this type of activity at TBI & build community. 

Please give what you are comfortable giving. Thank you!

Fulfill the 613th commandment (to make a Torah scroll) & participate in the Community Torah Project by checking letters of Torah panels that Rabbi Linda has written.

No specialized knowledge needed; instruction will be provided. 

Already know how to make challah? Come anyway, improve your bread making and braiding skills, and enjoy the fun!

Come for mixing the dough at 9:30; stay for Torah proofreading at 10:00.
Challah braiding between 10:30 and 11:00.
Bring loaves home to bake or stay and bake them at TBI.
You are welcome to stay for the duration of the program, or depart earlier if that works better for you.
